Bedlam Birthday Success!

Colton's 8th birthday party was a great success! It was an awesome party with LOTS of guests and great food and fun!

We got to watch the game on a huge screen (the wall) and played "Bedlam Bingo" with LOTS of winners!

We had a popcorn machine, hot dogs and nachos, and of course, TWO cakes (made by mom) - just to make it fair!

The coolest gift of course was the autographed football! We may be slightly biased, but we are huge Austin Box fans (and hope he recovers quickly!) and this was a great surprise for Colton. I have cake running out my ears, I have popcorn ground into my carpet, and the party was the COOLEST party ever! So worth it!

Sure seems like it's time to add another post, so here goes......
Right now we are planning for Thanksgiving and Colton's birthday party. Colton will be 8 on November 29th. This just happens to be the date of the OU/OSU game, so we will be having a "bedlam birthday" party. Half the house decorated for OU, half for OSU. Invitations are reversable and cater to either fan. Guests are asked to come dressed as the "biggest" OU or OSU fan (face paint, hair color, clothes, the works). We will be playing "Bedlam Bingo" during the game. I found a version of this bingo online. The squares have things such as: "OU passes for more than 30 yards", "Sees OSU cheerleaders", "Hears the name Austin Box", etc. The commercials are even included with things like "Sees Toby Keith" and "Sees a duck". It should be a blast. We will play flag football at halftime. We will have a popcorn machine and a hotdog machine. All the typical food from a football game. And two cakes of course. One OU and one OSU. We are VERY excited about this party!! Since Colton doesn't check my blog, I can also add that we visited our cousins, the Box's, last weekend. Austin (OU middle linebacker) secretly signed a football and poster for Colton's birthday! He's going to LOVE them!! We also got a few pictures with Austin.
Other than the party, there's not too much going on in our lives. Basketball season has started in Crescent, so that means I'll be working at the gate and Colton will be watching plenty of basketball at least once a week. I like working the gates at the home games. It puts me in just enough contact with "grown-ups" to keep me balanced out!
Reading through some older posts, I saw that I never updated that we did finally purchase a Wii. We love playing the sport games that came with it. We borrowed several games from a friend, and they were... eh. However, we signed up for Gamefly (like Netflix, but with games) and got Wii Music the other day. This game I love and would even spend the $40 or so that Wii games cost now. I want EVERYONE to come play the Wii with us! "Wii would like to play"!
The family tree is still coming along. Several people that we still need to get in contact with, but it seems like there's something going most every night and I just don't want to take the time out to call a "stranger" and ask them all about the last 15 years! LOL I'll get around to it. I would like to have our 5 generations done by the 1st of December so we can send out a list of addresses for Christmas cards. We'll see!
